🧭 Introduction to Peer Support (SC-RSI) 🧭
Support with purpose. Serve with presence.

Join the South Carolina Responder Support Initiative (SC-RSI) for Introduction to Peer Support, a comprehensive course for responders, veteran responders, and the family members who support them.

This course blends classroom instruction with hands-on practice and explores:
✅ The purpose and boundaries of peer support
✅ Acute, cumulative, and traumatic stress (including moral injury)
✅ How the brain responds under pressure
✅ Presence-based support, emotional regulation, and active listening
✅ Navigating hard conversations, burnout, boundaries, and referrals

The course concludes with a required 4-hour in-person skills lab featuring realistic role-plays, grounding techniques, and applied use of the Peer Support Compass.
